Merry Christmas from our home to yours! May your holiday be whatever you want a holiday to be, and may 2014 be full of wonderful surprises.

My Christmas present, for those of you following Annie’s story, is that she has finally started pooping without assistance. After a month of care, and the prospect of having to help her eliminate perhaps for all of her life, her health is turning around, and she is even gaining weight. She’s on a pile of meds, but they are working, and perhaps, if we are lucky, we can reduce or eliminate some of them over time. If not, so be it. Captured just before Thanksgiving, and coming to our home in time to be our Christmas present, she is a little gem and we are glad to see her doing so much better.

I didn’t want to stress Annie for a Christmas picture (this year!) Some critters cooperated in the photo shoot…others not so much. Some declined entirely. But no animals were harmed in the process!! You get what you get sometimes…merry Christmas, everyone!

    1. Annie is slowly meeting the others. Because she is not completely domesticated and needs meds 2 x daily she still lives in a large kitty condo, but she has time out in the cat room with some of her new companions a couple times a day and is getting used to things. The condo is actually in the cat room, so the others come to visit regularly too.

      1. Sounds perfect! When we got Morgan, I kept her isolated for about 5 days. She was good about it because she had a whole bedroom and was glad to be out of the shelter cage. I wished I had a screen door to put on the bedroom so the cats could look at each other (and smell) before I let them together. After that I still isolated her overnight so no one would get into trouble while I was sleeping. Every once in a while she still goes into that room to sleep when she doesn’t want to be disturbed.

  1. Been off line but wanted to say Merry Christmas and hoping your year ahead is filled with more reasons to smile than frown..more tears of joy than sadness and love always in your home. Hugs Fozziemum and gang xxx pee ess beautiful pics 🙂
