It is done! I have completed the Karen Pryor Academy Dog Trainer Comprehensive course – woo hoo! This is a course for the serious dog training enthusiast and I highly recommend it. I knew probably 60% of the course work already, from years of dog training, but I learned lots of new stuff, and have a pile of exercises from the class that I will continue to work on with Gracie. Now I just have to figure out what the next course is. I think it will be the KPA Concept Training, where you learn to use opposite cues (Bark/silent, etc.) and modifier cues (left/right) and such. Dogs even learn, in this course, to choose between two objects and bring you the one you requested. Should be a good challenge for Gracie and me. But we’ll take a little rest first and catch up on some other training before we launch into more new stuff.

Congratulations!!!
Hugs, Pam
Fantastic! Congrats!! Enjoy your “time off” and get some rest. Give Bodhi and Gracie some belly and ear rubs for me!!
Thank you. No real rest…Gracie and I will be working on the cat chasing problem with some expert help for awhile. I suspect she won’t be as excited about this part of her training as some others!!
Congratulations to you!!
Boy, the grass won’t have a chance to grow under Gracie’s paws, eh?
Good for you and congrats. 🙂
Gracie would be bored without some new stuff to learn, and a bored Gracie just chases the cats instead.
Awesome!! Congrats!!
Congratulations on another step Learning is always a wonderful thing and it will keep Gracie in gaged Hopefully kitten season will be small this year with colonies maybe getting smaller
Seems like kittens in Derry are under much better control these days. Hoping it stays that way!!
Congrats on a job well done!
Thanks Eliza!
